Historic west end of MO 6 at current junction of MO 6 and MO 31 south of Clarksdale (15SUE 65726 03290). This is where MO 6 met US 36 until US 36 was rerouted to its current course, and MO 6 was extended into St. Joseph. Photo shot May 2008.

Historic east end: Business US 61 and SR B in Canton (15SXE 26198 43675). About 1931, MO 6 was rerouted east of Lewistown to meet US 61 at Taylor for a more direct route to Quincy. The former MO 6 became MO 96, and then in 1940 it became MO 16. Photo shot November 2008.
