The first leg of the trip included some roadgeeking near Joplin.
Here is a shot of an old bridge off MO 86 just south of IH44.
The next two photos are on MO 59 in Noel, featuring overhanging rocks providing 11'-2" overhead clearance.
My exit from Missouri was via Southwest City on AR 43 and OK 20. Here are some shots on the five miles along the AR/OK line.
Other than at the Missouri line, only the OK 20 shields are posted southbound.
Approaching the intersection where AR 43 leaves OK 20.
Northbound just north of the intersection is the notorious "OK 20 / MO 43" sign error. The MO 43 shield has MHTD markings (made prior to MHTD becoming MoDOT), the other signs are all ODOT vintage.
Approaching from northbound AR 43, the only clue of the intersection is the STOP sign.
The rest of the trip to Arlington was via AR 43, US 412 and US 69/75.
